The 2010/11 season see’s the beginning of an exciting partnership in Southern Maine Soccer. After a successful 1st season, Sports Zone SC will now be joining forces with MPS Portland Phoenix to create SZ Phoenix. The marriage of Sport Zones indoor facility for both training and league play, player potential and current coaching staff; coupled with the MPS Portland Phoenix Full time office, UEFA licensed staff and premier coaching curriculum, create a program every aspiring player should consider.

"This partnership provides more local opportunities for some of our players south of Portland. The SportsZone teams will now become part of the MPS family and will be provided the same opportunities and coaching that all of our teams receive." said Paul Baber, MPS General Manager.

Rob Cook, the current SportsZone Director of Soccer stated, "We are excited about this relationship as it takes our teams to the next level as far as organization and coaching. Being a club with its own facilities is huge and now combining with MPS to provide top level instruction and administration
takes us to a new level"
