Coaching programs we provide at Maine Premier Soccer
Premier Team Program - The MPS Premier Team Program is designed for serious and talented soccer players aged 13-19 and is focused on player development.
Pheonix Juniors - The Phoenix Juniors program is a player development system that caters for motivated young players, boys and girls, aged U10 & U11 (U9 players will be considered also). The Junior program is geared towards dedicated and passionate individuals who are looking for advanced training with similarly talented players.
Clinics - Pheonix Soccer Schools, town team clinics, tryout management and coach education.
Camps - MPS offers camps suitable for everyone, from position specific training, overnight residential camps, team camps, to day camps suitable for various ages and skill levels.
Candidates must have the following to apply for a position with Mass Premier Soccer,
· FA/USSF/NSCAA coaching license
· 1 years on field coaching experience
· Full driving license
Positions available:
Staff Coach - with Sports Management Role,
You will also be an integral part of the coaching staff instructing players of all ages and abilities from 3 year olds to 17 year olds. During the period you are with the organization you have to be able to adapt your coaching style to work with various players from the recreational level to the elite players.
Your Sports Management role will be within one of the followin. This will either be: Operations, Sales and Staff Recruitment, Graphic Design, Academy Program, Residential Camps, Leagues and Tournaments, Marketing and Communications, School of Excellence, Premier Teams, Media and Web, Technical Development, Sports Performance/Science, Technical and Human Resources.
Assistant Academy Coach,
Under supervision of others prepare curriculum and lesson plans for coaching and instructing soccer teams of various ages responsible for analysis of team and individual performances after each session and recommend areas of improvement. Assist young players in all areas of developing technical skills and tactics needed to excel at the game of soccer and will be responsible for maintaining soccer equipment.
Student Placement Program,
MPS recruits placement students in Coaching, Sports Management, Business Management, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Physical Education, Graphic Design, Video Analysis, Event Management and Sports Science although placement students can be successful at MPS from other educational disciplines. Placement students should also have a background and passion for soccer and have at least their introductory coaching license.
The Placement Student will be placed in one of the Departments: Operations, Sales and Staff Recruitment, Graphic Design, Academy Program, Residential Camps, Leagues and Tournaments, Marketing and Communications, School of Excellence, Premier Teams, Media and Web, Technical Development, Sports Performance/Science, Technical and Human Resources.
Often, students will have the opportunity to work within multiple Departments during their placement. Students will also be expected to coach regularly, working with players aged 3-14. The student will be provided with consistent professional development opportunities both within their Department and as a coach.
